November 5, 2024 - Fly to Georgetown for Lunch

Today some of us were flying to Georgetown for lunch at their on-field restaurant.  At left is Gadget and at right is Brian.

A stern chase is a long chase.  I was halfway across the Bay before I caught up to them.

Brian at left in his RV-8 and Gadget at right in his RV-7A.

We've been enjoying nice flying weather like this for the last month!

Georgetown -- now called Delaware Coastal -- is dead-ahead.  I tried to fly here for their fly-in a month or so ago and couldn't make it due to overcast at 500 feet.

Safe on deck at Georgetown.  Neil, in the blue and white RV-8A, is meeting us here from Clearview.

Our group walks across the ramp to Arena's in the terminal building.

After a delicious lunch at Arena's, we head back to our rides.  Mark flew with Gadget since his plane is down for the annual inspection.

Pre-takeoff run-up.

Brian looks on.

Following Brian home, above a scattered layer.

Most of the color is gone, not that there was much this year.

Following Brian in to Essex Skypark.

Now you can see the Essex Skypark runway 34.

Looking down at Essex Skypark as Gadget makes a low-pass.
